Douglas T. Hendrickson

Doug has over 25 years of experience in financial services. He is a leading M&A advisor to corporate clients and business owners in numerous industries. He has advised large manufacturing businesses and financial institutions on senior debt financings and middle market companies in areas of strategic acquisitions, capital structure, and sale transactions. He is also President of Hendrickson & Company, a benefit advisory firm to corporate clients and President of 60 Tenants Corp., a New York City co-operative building. Doug also sits on the Board of National Educational Music Corporation, Access Systems Integration, and TestingMom.com.
Before co-founding MidCap Advisors, Doug spent 15 years with JPMorgan Chase working in New York, New Jersey and Texas. During his banking career Doug worked in the Financial Institutions Group, Corporate Banking Group and Regional Bank where he filled a variety of positions including that of Senior Banker and Senior Credit Officer. As SCO he was responsible for working on and approving financings of up to $250 million for all types of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate spin-offs, restructurings, and growth financings.
Doug received his MBA from Columbia University Business School in New York and BA in economics from the College of Wooster. He also completed advanced professional studies at Harvard Business School. Doug is a member of New York Athletic Club, The Union Club, The Siaconset Casino Association, and Sankaty Golf & Beach Club in Nantucket. Doug and his wife live in Manhattan and have two children.

Prior to joining MidCap Advisors, Frank was associated with Akin Bay Company, LLC, New York, NY, a middle market investment bank specializing in raising capital and mergers and acquisitions. Frank also has experience with The Hartford, where he was a member of the Internal Transfers division, working in both fixed and variable annuity products.
Frank holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Frank, his wife and four children live in southern Connecticut.

Ryan Sanford is a Managing Director who partners with business owners and executives to maximize the outcome of middle-market corporate finance transactions.
With close to a decade advising on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Ryan knows how significant the sale of a family or closely held business is and leverages his experience in pre-market planning, negotiation, and due diligence to help owners execute on all phases of a transaction.
Ryan focuses primarily on the insurance and financial services industry. He has advised on sell-side transactions representing more than $500 million in value for retail brokers, MGAs, MGUs, TPAs, PEOs and Retirement advisors. In 2017, Ryan launched MidCap Consulting, providing financial due diligence and buy-side advisory services exclusively to the insurance industry. He has since advised several private equity-backed serial acquirers on more than $300 million of M&A.

Shelby joined MidCap advisors in 2024 after serving as the Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at Acrisure. During her 7 years at Acrisure, she evaluated over 1000 agencies and completed 187 acquisitions on behalf of the company. Having deployed nearly $2B in capital in the space, Shelby understands what factors help maximize the valuation of a company and what a buyer is looking for in a transaction. Shelby is passionate about helping her clients not only maximize their valuation, but helping them find a buyer that is the right fit for themselves, their clients and their employees.
Shelby is able to leverage her vast buy-side experience in to help owners execute on all phases of a transaction and make the process as seamless as possible. Shelby focuses primarily on the insurance and financial services industries; including retail brokers, MGAs, MGUs, TPAs, PEOs and Retirement and Wealth Advisors.

Scott A. Yoder

Scott Yoder is a Managing Director who collaborates with middle market business owners, their families, and their advisors to develop and execute strategies that maximize transactional value in accord with their overall ownership objectives.
After working alongside business owners for 16 plus years as an operator (CFO) and witnessing his own father’s exit, Scott knows the stakes of completing a successful transaction and how wise counsel and market knowledge can drive the difference.
For almost 30 years, Scott has partnered with closely held companies in developing value growth and exit strategies and has executed over 20 successful transactions with domestic and international buyers in both the private and public markets.
Scott previously held a number of certifications, including: Certified Value Growth Advisor (CVGA), Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Iowa.

For over 30 years Mike has advised on public and private transactions representing more than $1 Billion in value across numerous industries, including insurance & financial services; education; telecommunications & media; and business services. As a former CEO of several successful middle market companies, Mike brings his direct operating experience to each transaction. Prior to joining MidCap, Mike was responsible for mergers and acquisitions at Modern Holdings, Inc., a middle market holding company.
Mike serves on the board of NEMC, a MidCap direct investment, as well as Innova Claims Management LLC and Lors Photography, Inc. He has been an active volunteer in local educational and youth athletic organizations in New York City for over 20 years.
Mike is a graduate of Brown University with an A.B. in English, and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University.

Dax Cohan is a Vice President who joined MidCap Advisors, LLC New York office in 2015 working with business owners and investors. Dax provides advisory services and analysis evaluating entities on both the sell side advisory and private equity side of the firm. He also sources and originates deal flow for the direct investing arm of MidCap. Dax has worked with companies in multiple industries including manufacturing, logistics, technology, education & healthcare services.
Dax worked at growing the firm’s portfolio since joining to more than double the privately held investments including leading the portfolio’s first international investment. He is a current board member of MidCap’s portfolio company Penji, Inc. Dax worked at Fantex, Inc in 2013, a company in the digital consumer products & services industry that allows professional athletes and celebrities to file for initial public offerings (IPOs).
Dax earned his Master of Management Studies degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 2015 and his Bachelor of Arts in History with a Certificate in Markets & Management from Duke University in 2014.

Curtis “Chip” Loeb is a veteran CFO who now consults with CEOs, owners and boards to help them improve profits and cash flow through financial planning and management. Chip has experience in various industries and companies of different sizes and at different stages in their life cycles. Chip’s expertise includes M&A, equity and debt transactions, financial and strategic planning, financial operations and reporting, complex tax strategies and budgeting. Chip has spent much of his career in the insurance space, involved in strategic planning, operations and M&A. He was a key executive in the rehabilitation of Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company, and has been involved on the buy side in numerous insurance transactions.
Prior to joining MidCap Advisors, Chip was the chief financial officer of SageGlass, a Minnesota-based high-tech manufacturer, where he guided the company through an acquisition by Saint-Gobain, a multinational conglomerate based in France. He led the post-acquisition integration, as well. Chip also serves on the boards of trustees of two non-profit organizations in central New Jersey.
Chip received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Washington University in St. Louis. Chip and his wife live near Princeton, NJ.

Before that, he spent parts of his career with OneAmerica Retirement Services, New York Life Investment Management, Putnam Investments, and SEI Investments.

Chad Morgan joined MidCap Advisors, LLC (MidCap) in 2020 as Vice President. His responsibilities include buy-side due diligence consulting, merger & acquisition (M&A) advisory, financial management consulting, and valuation services. He also focuses on new business development and a variety of client services and insurance industry-related best practices.
Throughout his career, Chad has prepared various equity, fixed income / debt, and derivative securities valuations, and he brings with him more than a decade of experience with financial advisory services and valuation opinions in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations and restructuring, as well as tax and financial reporting.
Prior to joining MidCap, Chad was a Vice President and National Valuation Practice Leader with Marsh, Berry & Co., Inc. (MarshBerry). Additionally, he was previously a Vice President with Willis North America in their San Diego Executive Risks Practice and an Assistant Vice President with Marsh & McLennan in their San Diego FINPRO practice.
Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a major in finance, from the University of Arizona. He also graduated from Creighton University with a master’s degree in security analysis and portfolio management. Chad and his family reside in Rancho La Costa, Carlsbad, CA.

Robert Goodman is Vice President for Healthcare and he works with physician practices as well as other outpatient healthcare providers in support of their future plans. These plans can range from the sale to a consolidation effort to facilitating new partnerships and business combinations. The support he provides is strategic, financial and practical, and tends to involve advisory services, positioning options, growth strategies, equity raises, and a competitive process for finding the right client-focused solution.
Bob has been a hospital administrator, including as CEO where he led the hospital’s turnaround; worked in the investment banking field in a turnaround capacity; was a finance executive at an equipment leasing company financing outpatient start-ups, healthcare practices, hospitals and other healthcare businesses; and as a healthcare strategic business consultant and advisor he has written business plans, conducted turnarounds, performed due diligence services for investors and lenders, fostered the sale of several outpatient centers, and obtained debt financing and restructured debt for more than 20 years, during which time he has had ownership and operating interests, as well as board seats, in several healthcare companies.
Bob’s volunteerism efforts include being a Board Chair for the Central/Southern NJ American Heart Association for two years through June 30, 2022, as well as being a recent past Board member, Treasurer, and Chair of the Finance Committees of both the Organ Procurement & Transplant Network (OPTN) and United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), the organization that operates the OPTN.

Michael Gorlick is a veteran President, CEO, and co-founder of a nationally recognized brokerage general agency focusing on life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, linked-benefit, Medicare supplement, and disability income insurance. He currently serves as a Vice President of MidCap Advisors with more than 40 years of brokerage experience.
In 1995, Michael co-founded Zenith Marketing Group, Inc., where he served as President and CEO for 25 years. He has continued to assist various insurance companies with the development of new insurance products along with the sales and marketing efforts to successfully bring products to market. Michael has written articles for Broker World magazine, has been quoted by numerous other publications, and has been a speaker and panelist at many insurance industry events.
Prior to MidCap Advisors and Zenith Marketing Group, Inc., Michael served as Vice President of Marketing at John Alden Life Insurance Company, as well as President of Admark, a wholly owned marketing subsidiary of John Alden. In that capacity, Michael was responsible for annuity sales training, marketing, and the sales desk.
Michael serves on the advisory councils of several top-rated insurance companies and has also served on the board of Brokerage Resources of America (BRAMCO).

Brijinder S. Minhas, Ph.D., HCLD, ELD, ALD, CC, MBA is a Vice President on MidCap Advisors’ Healthcare team, where he works with physicians in the fertility field with a focus on adding value to their practices. Formerly, Dr. Minhas served as the Chief Operating Officer of NewLIFE for twenty-two years.
Dr. Minhas brings thirty-nine years of combined clinical, laboratory, and business expertise in the field of fertility. He is Board Certified in Human Embryology and Andrology by the American Board of Bioanalysis and he has published and lectured extensively on the many facets of mammalian reproduction with a primary focus on the diagnosis and treatment of male causes of infertility. As a pioneer in the field of male infertility, he has performed thousands of micromanipulation procedures to include ICSI, Assisted Hatching, and Embryo Biopsy for pre-implantation genetic testing. Dr. Minhas has trained graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, medical students, residents, and fellows during his tenure with the University of Tennessee and in East Tennessee State University. Dr. Minhas served as Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology before moving to the University of Tennessee as their Chief of Reproductive Biology in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Prior to NewLIFE, Dr. Minhas served as Regional Scientific Director and Regional Vice President of Operations for the largest multi-site, national provider of physician practice management services in reproductive medicine and infertility. He has served on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) study sections and is a member of a broad list of professional societies, including ASRM, ABB, the College of Reproductive Biology, and the International Embryo Transfer Society.

William McCue is a Vice President on MidCap Advisors’ Healthcare team, where he adds value to physician practices including but not limited to radiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, medical oncology and physical therapy. Formerly, William served as the Vice President of Diagnostic Imaging Joint Ventures at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health where he directly reported to the EVP of Business Development and previously to the President and CEO of the health system.
William brings 30 years of experience as an owner, consultant, seasoned executive, and operator of multiple diagnostic imaging centers and seventeen PET/CT center joint ventures with health systems in five states including New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Health system partners have included Montefiore Medical Center, MedStar, Baptist Health, University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University Medical Center.
A seasoned executive who understands all aspects with a deep knowledge of building and operating imaging centers and other outpatient businesses. William is the co-founder of many healthcare related companies and has demonstrated results in complex environments while designing and implementing large and small-scale growth opportunities for companies seeking the next level.

Paul has spent more than 40 years in the for-profit education space, including building The Princeton Review from nothing into one of the foremost educational brands in the world. He also spent time in charge of all global operations for the company, learning the business practices and drivers throughout Mexico, India, China, Hong Kong, Japan, the UAE, Australia, and most of Western Europe.
Paul has worked with Bain Capital, Charlesbank, Verlinvest, A Star Education and served as a consigliere to a host of C-Suite executives throughout the space. Finally, he has served on various boards of directors and as the CEO of multiple, successful, for-profit educational concerns, including Collegewise, America’s largest college admissions company. Paul has helped these companies to go public, privately refinance, and mergers and acquisitions activity.
Because Paul is deeply steeped in understanding the needs and wants of educational entrepreneurs, at MidCap, he will work with our education clients on issues ranging from access to financial capital, talent, strategic nous, and successful post-acquisition integrations.
Paul was born in England, spent his early teen years in Africa and moved to the USA right before he went to UCLA. He, his wife and his twenty-five various animals live on a ranch in Santa Ynez, California.

Ryan Belforti is an analyst with an array of different experiences that he uses to add value to business owners. As a student at Boston College, he interned for U.S. Congressman Tom MacArthur’s 3rd Congressional District office in New Jersey. He supported the communications between the Congressman’s staff and his constituents. Also, as a research intern with Susquehanna International Group, Ryan directly reported to the Head of Research, Akir Gutierrez, on different initiatives including the research, analysis, and presentation of publicly traded beverage companies.

Tammie Bennett

Tammie Bennett is the Senior Administrative Officer at MidCap Advisors. Tammie uses her background in accounting and taxation to manage administrative matters across the firm involving operations, finance, client engagement, and marketing.
